Projects
UBBO Shopping Resort aims to create a culture of sustainability across its different teams, whether Cleaning and Maintenance Providers, Suppliers or Tenants.
With this in mind, we share some of the projects to be implemented in the short term, as well as the goals already achieved:
Ongoing improvement projects:
A new chiller is being installed. This equipment will significantly improve the building’s efficiency in producing thermic energy.
Soon, the installation of photovoltaic panels will begin, which will allow UBBO to self-consume around 25% of its electricity needs.
Still in the project development phase, is the creation of new charging points for electric vehicles. The aim is to set up an extended network of chargers so that our Guests can always find service available.
At a very advanced stage are the changes to improve the restaurant waste dock, which are intended to improve recycling rates, provide a more effective response to the tenants who produce the most waste, and improve hygiene conditions at this location.

Results
Regarding the goals already achieved, comparing 2023 with 2022, we present the following results:
In terms of electric energy, UBBO managed to reduce consumption by 0.36% compared to the previous year, despite the significant increase in annual traffic, which meant that equipment had to be open longer, parking level -3 had to be opened more frequently and there was a greater need for thermic energy production.
As for water consumption, UBBO reduced its water consumption per visitor by 5.3% compared to 2022.
When it comes to waste, UBBO has improved its recycling rate by 8.7% compared to 2022.
