Next Saturday, September 21, for World Alzheimer Day, UBBO joins Associação Alzheimer Portugal, the only organization in Portugal, at the national level, specifically to promote the quality of life of people with Alzheimer and its family members and caregivers.
“Every memory was once the present” is the motto of the awareness event that will be held on September 21 and 22 to raise awareness in the community about this topic, which is increasingly relevant, from a social and cultural point of view.
During these days, UBBO Guests will be invited to share a memory that will be eternalized through an illustration. To do this, an illustrator will draw portraits, through a visual representation on paper that can be saved or offered to someone special so that one day, through that person and that illustration, it can be remembered in the same way.
At the same time, Guests are invited to learn more about Casa do Alecrim, an Alzheimer Portugal project for people living with Dementia and to contribute to the development of the Association’s funds, whose objective is to expand and refurbish the place.
